Welcome to Handy Pak Net Co.'s website. My name is Andrew Welker, current owner of Handy Pak Net Co. Although previous owner (Frank Duffy) owned & operated Handy Pak Net Co. from 1977 until January 2011, the company has been idle for the last several years due to former owner's retirement. Since we (Mother, Father, and I) have purchased Handy Pak Net Co. in January 2011, we have gained new suppliers and have had all original Handy Pak Net tools refurbished to meet the demands of today's fisherman/fisherwoman. We have currently resumed production of Handy Pak Insta-Nets and are very excited with the vision of our company.
Clever contrivance, YES! But even more, the Handy Pak Insta-Net is handsomely styled and expertly crafted. No need for a bulky net when you use the Insta-Net. The Handy Pak Insta-Net opens instantly and collapses easily back into its handy pouch. The Insta-Net works well on your back or your belt. It will not snag on brush.
- Instant opening
- Instant closing
- No hinges or joints to break
With practice, collapsing is a breeze! You won't want to fish without one!
Handy Pak Net Co. is now located 20 miles from its previous owner and 15 miles from Shamokin, Pennsylvania where Handy Pak Net was invented and later patented in 1957. My grandfather's best friend was a son-in-law to the inventor of Handy Pak Net who gave him an original net in the 1950s. My grandfather was an avid fisherman who was paralyzed from the waist down at age 25 and Handy Pak Net allowed my grandfather to continue to fish even with his disability. Handy Pak Insta-Nets have been a part of our family ever since.
